　　The art of Huanglongxi Fire Dragon can be traced to the South Song Dynasty when our ancestors created the “Dancing Fire Dragon” based on the saying “Dragon seeing Wuyang’s Chishui” and the legend of the “Sole Dagon” controlling light and the “Ying Dragon” controlling wind and rain and the story of “a dragon with nine children” and the totem culture about “Dancing Dragon”. After modified and enriched， Huanglongxi’s “Dancing Fire Dragon” has gradually been improved and therefore Huanglongxi becomes the town of the Fire Dragon.

　　Beginning in 1996， Huanglongxi International Dragon and Lion Culture and Arts Festival has been held for eight times， which mainly inherited and exhibited the culture of “Firing Dragon”. According to the custom of the old town， it is often held in the Spring Festival， including “Jumping lions and dancing dragons celebrate the new spring at the centuries-old town”， “Dragons dance in Shuhan and cate is presented at the old town”， “Jumping lions and dancing dragons celebrate the new spring at the centuries-old town”， Niuer Lantern and Yaomei Lantern performance， Lianxiao presentation， Sichuan opera， mutual action of Colorful dragons， dragons and lions arts show etc. The activities are organized by the local government and local performing teams take part in. Beautiful fire is sprayed to the golden dragon. The dragon in the fire sea and shinning light moves in the cheering crowd， giving the presence of rejoicing.
